Buffalo River National ParkIn the heart of the Ozarks, the Buffalo River was America’s first national river in 1972. The 135-mile-long free flowing Buffalo offers both swift-running and placid stretches, inviting sand/gravel bars, towering limestone bluffs, woodlands, protected wilderness areas and nature watching opportunities, including deer and elk. Smallmouth bass is a catch along the river. Over 100 miles of trails have been blazed for public use. Designated horseback riding trails are located in each district of the river, under the auspices of the National Park Service. The Buffalo River is a favorite floating destination because of the scenic bluffs and crystal-clear water. Phone: (870) 439-2502

Home to the longest zipline in Arkansas

During the summer of 2012, we had the pleasure of Introducing “Iron Horse”, the Highest, fastest, longest zipline in Arkansas. It is one of the top zip lines in North America. It is nearly a half mile long and with a vertical drop of 277’ and top speeds of over 50mph, it is a heart pounding and yet very smooth, comfortable experience. You will sail 2300’ over the beautiful Canyon towards the main lodge. At one point you will be over 300’ above the valley floor. Don’t forget to open your eyes! Not s ure if you are ready for the Iron Horse? No problem. You can start out on the 600’ “Pony Express” to warm you up. A perfect trainer zip line for those that want to ease in to adventure.
